Raisul Islam Asad (Bangla: রাইসুল ইসলাম আসাদ) is one of the most famous actors in Bangladeshi TV drama, theater and cinema. His remarkable role in TV dram "Ekhane Nongor" caught the attention of famous Indian bangla film director Gautam Ghose, who eventually cast him in the leading role of his monumental work Padma Nadir Majhi. He actively participated in Bangladesh Liberation War.
His portrayal of Fakir Lalon Shah, in Tanvir Mokammel's movie Lalon is widely appreciated.
